List of candidates for prosecutor general's position published

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- The list of candidates who have submitted applications to the contest for Prosecutor General’s position was published on the official website of the General Prosecutor's Office.

The seven candidates are: Maxim Group, prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases; Istrate Anatolia, lawyer, ex-prosecutor; Ivanov Vsevolod - prosecutor of Chisinau Prosecutor's Office, Râșcani Office; Eremciuc Roman, deputy prosecutor of Chisinau Prosecutor's Office, head of the Center Office; Popa Igor, prosecutor, ex - deputy Prosecutor General; Popov Ruslan, chief prosecutor of the Criminological Analysis Section of the General Prosecutor's Office; Bulat Eduard, Deputy Prosecutor General.

According to the legal provisions, within 20 working days from the deadline for submitting the files, which expired on September 10, the Superior Council of Prosecutors / CSP / will announce the list of candidates who have submitted documents and meet the conditions for participation.

The contest for prosecutor general’s position was announced by CSP on 9 August. The post remained vacant on 11 July, after Eduard Harunjen resigned. Currently, the interim function is served by Dumitru Robu.
