Moldovan president, Chisinau mayor have meeting with investors from EU states, Turkey

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban. The officials discussed problems on the development of Moldova’s capital, including projects of major importance in the infrastructure sector, roads’ repair, transport, parks’ arrangement, etc., the presidential press service has reported.
The sides were unanimous in the opinion on the need to attract a larger number of native and foreign investors in the settlement of the most urgent problems of the city.
In the context, Igor Dodon along with Ion Ceban had a meeting with a group of investors from EU states and Turkey, with whom they discussed the carrying out of investment projects in Chisinau and in Moldova, on the whole. In particular, the sides referred to projects on the development of infrastructure, construction or roads, bridges, parks, etc.
The head of state thanked the Turkish side for active involvement of investors and construction companies from this country in Moldova, bringing as example the Chisinau Arena sports complex, due to be officially opened on 1 May. Igor Dodon urged the partners from Turkey and EU countries to invest money in far-reaching projects announced by the Moldovan leadership.
