Moldova's Embassy in India officially inaugurated in New Delhi

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi, during his working visit to India, today participated in a ceremony on the official inauguration of Moldova’s Embassy in New Delhi.    

Attending the event was Foreign Affairs Minister of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. On this occasion, the official plaque of the embassy was unveiled, which marks a new chapter in the relations between Moldova and India.

„I am honoured to be present at the ceremony of official inauguration of Moldova’s Embassy in New Delhi. This event marks an important moment in the consolidation of the bilateral relations between our countries and opens new opportunities for cooperation and strategic dialogue,’’ Mihai Popsoi said in his speech.      

For his part, Indian Foreign Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that ‘’this moment shows the joint commitment which we have consolidated since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1992. What defines this cooperation is the mutual support on the international stage, at multilateral institutions and not in the least, the bilateral relations based on confidence and harmony.’’    

Moldova’s Ambassador to India Ana Taban, in her speech, stressed the main achievements of the cooperation between the two countries. She emphasized that the role of the diplomacy was to get concrete results for the benefit of the citizens.   

The official ceremony of inauguration brought together Indian officials, diplomats of India’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, heads of diplomatic missions and business people.
