Moldovan parliament speaker meets ambassador of Azerbaijan

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today afternoon had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova Qüdsi Dursun oğlu Osmanov, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.    

The officials highlighted the existence of good cooperation and friendship relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan, as well as the mutual support within international organizations.  

At the same time, the sides spoke out for the continuous extension of the Moldovan-Azeri interaction and voiced confidence that a forthcoming visit by the parliament speaker to Baku would give a fresh impetus to the partnership between the two countries.     

According to the tradition, on the eve of the 1 March day, Zinaida Greceanii handed to Qüdsi Osmanov a Martisor as a symbol of spring’s coming.

The diplomatic relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan were established on 18 May 1992.
