Moldovan officials lay flowers at monument of Grieving Mother

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- Together with President Igor Dodon, Prime Minister Ion Chicu, government members, Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi and other MPs laid flowers today at the Eternitate Memorial Compound, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The moment of laying flowers was followed by a minute of silence in memory of the heroes fallen in the Dniester armed conflict.

On 2 March, the Remembrance Day of those killed in the 1992 armed conflict is marked in Moldova.

On this occasion, President, Speaker and Prime Minister made a joint appeal reiterating the Moldovan people's desire to live in peace and prosperity, urging citizens to jointly build and develop further Moldova.
