Meeting of Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova, Poland to take place in near future

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The officials discussed the recent developments of the Moldovan-Polish relations, political situation in Moldova and the carrying out of the legislative process.

The sides highlighted the existence of very good inter-parliamentary cooperation relations. Zinaida Greceanii and Bartłomiej Zdaniuk welcomed the creation of the parliamentary group of friendship with Moldova at the Polish Sejm and Senate, as well as the holding of a Meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova and Poland in the near future.

The ambassador conveyed to the Moldovan side an invitation by the Marshall of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek to participate in a summit of the parliament speakers from the Central and Eastern Europe states, due in Warsaw in early next June. This event might give a new impetus to the strengthening of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation ties.
