Moldova to sign new programme with International Monetary Fund

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today met International Monetary Fund’s Resident Representative in Moldova Volodymir Tulin, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister referred to the measures undertaken by the cabinet to fulfill the commitments taken within the country programme with IMF for 2016-2020.
The sides discussed the actions due to be carried out for signing a new programme between Moldova and IMF. Ion Chicu unveiled to the Fund’s representatives information on the developments of the state budget revenues, noting that, in February 2020, they had increased by 19.6 per cent against the same month of 2019.
