Chisinau city hall prohibits car parking on some streets in downtown area

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall has banned starting from 1 March car parking on the streets in the central area of the city.

Deputy Mayor Victor Chironda signed an order in this regard, setting up a restricted regime for parking personal cars, on the sidewalk and on the road, on the streets: Stefan cel Mare, Puskin, Mateevici, Mitropolit Banulescu-Bodoni, C.Tanase, G.Vieru and Kiev.

The action comes from the need to ensure the movement of public transport as scheduled to enhance the comfort of travel in trolleybuses and buses.

By late 2020, the Directorate-General for Public Transport and Communications will review and modify road traffic organization projects on each transit street, taking into account the application of the restricted parking regime.
