Working groups for combating crime, emergency convened in Bender

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/- A new meeting of working groups for combating crime and emergency on the two banks of the Dniestre with representatives of the 5+2 format was held on Tuesday at the Bender-based OSCE Mission to Moldova, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.

The sides welcomed re-launching the activity of this working group after a long break, and expressed willingness to examine and identify solutions to existing problems.

They pointed out the key elements for effective interaction in emergencies, as well as issues related to preventing and fighting crime on both banks of the Dniester.

At the same time, the experts committed to review the proposals on the matter to identify a common denominator based on legal norms, including provisions of international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party.
