Institution of Ombudsman of business people to be set up in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a meeting with Economics and Infrastructure Minister Anatol Usatii and other decision-makers, in order to assess the stage of the process of working out of the law of the Ombudsman of Entrepreneurs, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

The participants in the meeting considered the experience of other states in this field and discussed good practices which can be taken over.  

„The concept elaborated is to be discussed with businesspeople, whose opinion is very important in this case,” Ion Chicu said. The PM stressed the need to give final touches to the draft in an as short period as possible, so that the Finance Ministry can plan the necessary resources in the 2021 budget.  

The institution of the business Ombudsman will be created under the parliament and will provide the needed assistance to defend the rights of the businesspeople.   

The prime minister asked to act in such a way, so that the institution is functional as of 1 January 2021.
