Minimally guaranteed monthly income indexed by 4.8 per cent in Moldova as of 1 April 2020

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved an amendment to a cabinet decision which deals with a regulation on the way the social benefit is established and paid. Under the today’s decision, the minimally guaranteed monthly income is indexed by 4.8 per cent starting from 1 April 2020, proceeding from the annual increase of consumer prices index for the previous year and after indexation this income amounts to 1,107 lei.

At a proposal by the Finance Ministry, “in order to make a single approach on the enforcement of macroeconomic indexes for diverse social benefits, the indexation quantum was established to tenths.”

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, the financial means needed for implementing this decision were provided for in the state budget law for 2020.
