Moldovan foreign minister meets several members of European Parliament

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/- During a visit to Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi had yesterday meetings with several members of the European Parliament and approached developments of relations between the EU and Moldova and security situation in the region, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.
During the meeting with Dragoș Tudorache, European Parliament Rapporteur for Moldova-EU Association Agreement, the achievements in implementing the Agreement were pointed out, as well as the complex areas where further efforts are needed to make a more visible progress. The European official's forthcoming visit to Chisinau will provide opportunity to continue discussions on the matter.
The talks with Petras Auštrevičius, European Parliament Rapporteur for the Eastern Partnership, encouraged the active involvement of Moldova to promote a new vision on the future of the Eastern Partnership. The sides highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation of the partner states on security and strategic communication, as well as combating hybrid threats.
The meeting with Andrius Kubilius, co-chair of EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly, offered the opportunity to discuss new opportunities for cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, especially for the associated countries. In this context, the cooperation processes were welcomed in the format of the three associated countries within the Eastern Partnership, and their continuation is encouraged.
