Moldovan premier inspects works of construction of road segment in southern district

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today paid a working visit to a site for construction of the road segment, Porumbrei-Cimislia. The segment has a length of 19.1 km and the project’s budget is of 30 million euros, provided by the European Investment Bank.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, Ion Chicu was informed about the fact that the roads’ construction works had been started in 2019 and were to be finished in January 2022. Decision-makers noted that works at the level of 23 per cent had been carried out so far, 238 technical equipments and over 350 workers were mobilized.

The road segment’s making available for use will discharge the transport of high-tonnage goods on streets of the southern Cimislia town and will contribute to the economic development of this sector.

Representatives of the constructions company gave assurances that the works would be carried out qualitatively and on the term established in the contract.
