Repeated elections of mayor to be held in village from north-western Moldova district

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/ - Repeated local elections will be held in the Calinesti village, north-western Falesti district, on 8 March. Eduard Curtescu on behalf the of ACUM Dignity and Truth Platform and Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and Svetlana Padure on behalf of the Democratic Party of Moldova run for the mayor office, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informed today.

The polling station will be open starting from 9:00 till 21:00.

CEC ruled to organize the repeated voting for the runoff of the ballot in Calinesti, after the Balti-based Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Justice had refuted the elections from 3 November 2019 for the position of settlement’s mayor.
