Weather expected to warm in Moldova this week

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - This week will be characterized by air temperatures up to +22 Celsius degrees, sunny weather, without precipitation, the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has reported.
According to meteorologists, the weather will gradually warm on the next days, so that the air temperature might reach +22 degrees during the day on 13 March. At night, the air temperature will oscillate between +4 and +9 degrees.
Variable cloud, sunny weather, without precipitation, is expected on most of this period. Light short rains are forecast in places in southern and northern Moldova.
Also, the Yellow Code of hydrological drought remains in force in some regions of Moldova till 14 March. According to hydrologists, given the high air temperatures and lack of essential precipitation, hydrological drought is reported in the basin of the Prut river, downstream the Costesti-Stanca reservoir, as well as in the small rivers from central and southern Moldova. In the context, the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry asked the residents and especially economic agents to rationally consume the water resources.
