Moldova's Embassy in France ceases providing ordinary consular services

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has ruled to cease the ordinary consular services at Moldova’s Embassy in France on the period 10-24 March 2020.
„Taking into account the increase in the number of contaminations with COVID-19 in France, and taking into consideration the recommendations of the Moldovan and French authorities, MAEIE decides the ceasing, on the period 10-24 March, of the ordinary consular services at Moldova’s Embassy in Paris, a period which might be extended, depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation and recommendations by the competent authorities,” a press release of the ministry reads.
At the same time, the consular section will continue working in extraordinary regime only for the situations of extreme urgency, with preliminary scheduling at the phone number: + 33 6 23 12 76 05, for the following situations: processing the travel documents for urgent departure to Moldova (justified by documents); accidents, deaths, natural calamities.
Also, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry reiterates the importance of the observance of the measures of protection and prevention of the virus’ spread, issued by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the National Public Health Agency (on the webpages: www.msmps.gov.md and www.ansp.md.), by the competent authorities from the countries where citizens travel, as well as by the World Health Organization.
