Moldovan PM, health minister visit Toma Ciorba hospital

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu together with minister Viorica Dumbrăveanu visited the Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases Toma Ciorbă, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The hospital management informed the premier about the level of preparation and endowment of the institution to receive and treat people infected with the new type virus. The hospital has 100 seats for potential patients and is equipped with all necessary medical devices and medicines. The team of doctors is well trained.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu spoke about the actions taken by the ministry to prepare capacities in other medical institutions, which significantly increase the capacity to receive and treat infected people if needed.
The national health system has the financial resources needed to supplement the reserves of medical devices, medicines and other supplies if needed.
The ministry communicates daily with representatives of the World Health Organization, jointly considering the situation in the country, region and neighboring states with the Republic of Moldova, and deciding on steps to be taken to manage the epidemiological situation and reduce the dangers of spreading the infection.
