Moldovan MPs amended law on agricultural producer groups

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/- Today parliament adopted in first reading amendments to the Law on agricultural producer groups and their associations.

Under the draft, an important aspect of amendments is related to exclusion of unjustified provisions on setting up producer groups, such as notary authentication. It is also proposed to exclude situations in which a single agricultural producer could be a member of several producer groups.

It also includes new provisions on the obligations of the members of the groups related to their commitment to pay financial contributions for financing the producer group, assuming the associated risks following the granting of the financial support.

At the same time, the draft comprises increase in the amount of state financial support for producer groups.
