Education institutions from Moldovan capital might cease working

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today approved a decision, thereby demanding that the city hall closes the schools and kindergartens from Moldova’s capital.

In the context of preventing the infection with COVID-19, the municipal councilors asked mayor Ion Ceban to cease, as of 11 March, the activity of the education institutions from the city for two weeks.

Also, CMC approved a decision, thereby asking Ceban to identify financial sources for the supply with consumables, in order to cope with the epidemic.

The authorities have earlier ruled not to suspend, for the time being, the work of the education institutions from Moldova. The decision was taken at a meeting of the national extraordinary public health commission.
