Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu, in a statement set forth in the beginning of the today’s cabinet meeting, made an appeal to Moldova’s residents, asking them to strictly observe physicians’ requirements, in the context of the crisis triggered by the new-type coronavirus COVID-19.
The PM showed confidence that Moldova’s medical system would cope with the COVID-19 crisis. Ion Chicu appealed to Moldova’s population to strictly observe the rules issued by the authorities, in the conditions of the Orange Code of coronavirus, announced in the country.
„I call on the citizens to strictly observe the requirements by the state’s representatives, first of all, of the physicians. We must be responsible and disciplined and not ignore the requirements imposed,’’ the prime minister said. Chicu noted that the medical system of Moldova had faced other public health emergency situations and coped with them.
The prime minister also reminded about the decisions taken by the authorities to cease the spread of the virus: vacations for children and the ceasing of the air traffic with Italy. ‘’The terrestrial borders of Moldova are open. Our citizens who set out to the motherland will be received in the country,’’ Ion Chicu said.
