Another 13 persons suspected of being infected with COVID-19 in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Another 13 persons, of whom five children and two mothers, are suspected of being infected with COVID-19. Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu has made statements to this effect at a news briefing.
According to Dumbraveanu, six persons were put in the Toma Ciorba Hospital of Infectious Diseases, with symptoms suspected of Coronavirus; at the same time, another seven persons, of whom five children, were put at the Municipal Hospital of Contagious Diseases for Children. Samples were collected from these patients.
The health minister noted that the presence of COVID-19 had not been confirmed in 28 out of 30 people suspected, detected in the last hours. The other two samples are under reaction for confirmation.
The authorities today took enhanced measures of prophylaxis of COVID-19; the schools and kindergartens were closed and all public manifestations were ceased.
So far, three cases of infection with Coronavirus have been registered in Moldova, in two women and one man, all recently returned from Italy.
