Moldovan government bans export of masks, disinfectants

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan government has banned the export of medical masks and disinfectants till 15 April.

Under a decision of the cabinet, which held a meeting today, till 15 April, Moldovan producers cannot export medical masks, gloves and disinfectant products.

The decision was taken in connection with the continuation of the spread of the coronavirus infection internationally and especially given the confirmation of cases of infection with this virus in Moldova.

According to the government, ‘’the goal of this ban consists in the protection of the lives and health of people, avoiding the spread of this infection in Moldova and supply of people’s demand with medical masks.’’

Depending on the evolution of the situation, the government might decide to reduce or extend this interdiction.
