Moldovan president says situation as to infection with coronavirus under control

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - All state’s institutions are prepared in the eventuality of the risk of spread of the Coronavirus infection in Moldova. President Igor Dodon today made statements to this effect after the first meeting of the Single Command Centre.
According to Dodon, officially, there are four cases of Coronavirus disease in Moldova. It is about four adults who have recently returned from Italy. The head of state said the situation as to the infections with Coronavirus was under control. ‘’We do not have mass contamination. We are prepared for all the four scenarios. We are prepared also for difficult scenarios; yet, we believe that we will not get to them,’’ Dodon noted.
Depending on the scenario in evolution, the authorities will implement strict rules. The first scenario sees several cases confirmed; the second scenario provides for up to 400 cases, the third one – up to 1,000 cases and the fourth scenario – more than 1,000 cases discovered.
The Moldovan president reiterated that there were enough places in the hospitals selected, in order to put people infected with COVID-19 and suspect cases.
