Regulation on driving license amended

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- The government has made several amendments to the Regulations on driving license, organizing and conducting the exam to obtain the driving license and the conditions for admission to road traffic. The document will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 13 March.

The amendments aim ensuring free movement of the Moldovan permit holders, by taking over international practices, ensuring the constitutional law of the Moldovan citizens residing on the left bank of the Dniester and Bender, free movement for driving vehicles in international traffic, increasing the quality of public services by reducing documents and copies, due to be presented to get driving license and providing electronic data exchange etc.

Also, people convicted by a court decision with criminal penalty of cancellation of the right to drive vehicles, as well as those on whom the court ordered the cancellation of the right to drive vehicles, being declared unfit to drive vehicles by the competent authority may regain the right to drive vehicles upon failure of the grounds provided by law, under general conditions, as a result of taking the theoretical and practical evidence of the examination to obtain the driving license in the required categories / subcategories of permit”.

The draft government decision to amend Regulation was worked out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the participation of Public Service Agency.
