Moldova applies extraordinary measures to prevent COVID 19 infection

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- On 10 March the National Commission for Public Health decided extraordinary measures to prevent COVID 19 infection.
Under the decision, on 10 March – 1 April 2020 it is forbidden to organize and conduct mass events with the participation of more than 50 people.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will ensure the suspension of the educational process of general education until 22 March, including the subsequent revision of the period according to the epidemiological situation; permanent communication with representatives of religious cults to reduce the risks of spreading COVID 19 infection; inadmissibility within the institutions of people returning from areas with COVID 19.
The General Inspectorate for Emergencies jointly with the local public authorities at level I and II will ensure the convening of local commissions for emergencies involving mayors, representatives of religious cults, community leaders to raise awareness of the real situation and preventive measures.
The central and local public administration authorities, institutions and organizations, regardless of the legal form of organization, will ensure, within the limits of the competences, the continuous implementation of the decision of the National Commission on Public Health.
