Moldovan president introduces new ministers to staff of two ministries

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, along with Prime Minister Ion Chicu, today went to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), in order to introduce new minister Oleg Tulea to the institution’s staff, the presidential press service has reported.
Igor Dodon thanked the former minister Aureliu Ciocoi for the activity carried out. At the same time, the head of state congratulated the new minister on his appointment to this responsible office and wished him success on such a difficult period for Moldova and the entire world.
Also, the president reiterated the position of the Moldovan top leadership on the appointment to office of ambassador of only professional diplomats, who had worked in the system for more years.
Afterwards, in his capacity of Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Igor Dodon went to the Defence Ministry, where he introduced new minister Alexandru Panzari to the National Army’s superior officers. The head of state noted that the minister had a rich experience in the power-wielding forces, for which reason he would cope with the tasks established for sure.
The Moldovan president expressed sincere gratitude to the former defence minister, brigade general Victor Gaiciuc, whom he awarded the title of division general for special merits for the National Army. Also, the deputy head of the National Army’s General Staff, colonel Mihail Buclis received the rank of brigade general.
At the same time, Igor Dodon stressed that general Gaiciuc had been appointed as presidential adviser in the national defence and security sector and secretary of the Supreme Security Council, which implies a close cooperation with the new defence minister. Given this fact, the head of state urged Victor Gaiciuc to support Alexandru Panzari in the process of management of the military institution.
