The municipal authorities enhanced the measures for preventing the infection with the new-type virus in the public transport. Today, two representatives of the police were present in each station, who managed passengers’ access to each trolley bus and bus, in order to avoid agglomeration.
The city hall said that the public transport was moving according to the old schedule, although the Chisinau city hall had made certain proposals on amendment and restricting, in the context of the measures of protection against the COVID-19 infection.
„The measures undertaken by the city hall are for the benefit of the citizens, so that people do not crowd in transport, as well as in stations and preserve the distance recommended of at least one metre between persons. More restrictive measures are analyzed and implemented and this on grounds that we care about the health condition of each citizen of the capital and do our utmost, in order to cease the spread of the COVID-19 virus,’’ the general mayor, Ion Ceban, said.
