Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) comes up with the following specifications, given mass media’s requests in case of the trucks blocked at the border of Slovenia:
The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry on 15 March was notified about the standing of trucks from Moldova at the border of Slovenia.
Moldova’s Embassy in Budapest, accredited by plurality of offices in Slovenia, and the Moldovan Consulate in Padua on the same day made the necessary steps to the Slovenian, Hungarian and Italian authorities and are in permanent communication with the concerned authorities, in order to coordinate the technical aspects of transit of the trucks on the entire route towards Moldova.
The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry reiterates the call to the Moldovan citizens, who are already abroad, to avoid travels as much as possible, especially to the regions hit by the COVID-19 infection and attracts attention to the fact that some states enforce restrictive travel measures, which are showed by the ban on the entrance and exit from/to certain zones, as well as closing of some border checkpoints or establishing a compulsory quarantine period.
