Over 5,200 people crossed Moldovan border in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, the flow of people was 5,206 at the border crossing points. Most of them, about 3,041 were at the entry to Moldova.

According to data of the Border Police, out of over 3,000 people entering Moldova, about 2,257 crossed the border through the points at the Moldovan-Romanian border and only 782 were border crossings with Ukraine.

The most border crossing points were:

PTF Leușeni - 1,730 people crossings;

PTF Sculeni - 887 people crossings;

PTF Tudora - 537 people crossings;

PTF Costești - 624 people crossings;

PTF Giurgiulești-Galați - 331 people crossings;

PTF Otaci - 308 people crossings.

The traffic of means of transport recorded a number of 3,516 crossings, of which a greater number of the vehicles registered abroad - 1,767 crossings.

In the last 24 hours, at all border crossing points, 2,284 people were screened and 1,193 individual epidemiological records were filled in.

According to the decision No9 of 15 March 2020 of the national commission for public health, from 17 March, at 00:00, it was forbidden to cross the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and from 17 March, at 8 pm, it was forbidden to cross the Moldovan-Romanian border for foreigners on the way to the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, from 17 March, at 00:00, the air traffic was stopped. Also, several state border crossing points are closed for an indefinite period.

At the border with Romania are closed Cahul-Oancea, Lipcani-Rădăuți-Prut, and at the border with Ukraine - Ocnita-Sokireani, Larga-Kelmenţî, Criva-Mamalîga, Vulcăneşti-Vinogradovka, Basarabeasca-Serpniovo-1, Cosăuţi-Iampoli, Unguri-Bronniţa, Ceadâr-Lunga-Novîe Troianî, Pervomaisc-Kuciurgan, Goianul Nou-Platonovo, Hristovaia-Bolgan.
