Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon together with Prime Minister Ion Chicu attended an ordinary meeting of the single command center for the management of the coronavirus crisis within the Emergency Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the presidential press service has reported.
Dodon informed the participants that parliament supported yesterday the request of the president and of the government on the declaration of state of emergency. He pointed to the need to carry out more intense activity to overcome the crisis situation and proposed to create an anti-crisis center operating non-stop.
In this context, the president noted that political and economic activities cannot be forbidden entirely, as national economy will be at risk. Thus, the possibility of making certain concessions starting next week was discussed, meant to encourage the activity of economic agents, including in trade and to ensure the flow of revenues to the state budget.
Also, the medical institutions in the country, including the dental clinics, have switched to consult patients with emergencies. "This will allow the mobilization of more resources in the health system to further combat the spread of COVID-19," the head of state said.
Also, the participants in the meeting discussed issues on import in Moldova of necessary medical preparations, additional places in hospitals and other issues of crisis management in the country.
