Moldovan PM chairs meeting with participation of districts' heads

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today chaired a meeting with the participation of the cabinet members and the districts’ heads, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The meeting’s goal was to better coordinate the work of the central and local public authorities, in the context of the evolution of the epidemiological situation and establishment of the state of emergency nationally. The PM shortly informed the district heads about the decisions taken so far on the platform of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP), reasons and expectations from their implementation.
The prime minister referred to the need to quite attentively enforce the Commission’s decisions and exclude the groundless pressures on enterprises and business people. ‘’Please, do not allow excesses and strictly observe the decisions. We must take care of the economic agents, as a matter of fact, in order not to worsen the effects of the epidemiological situation with unwished economic effects, which cannot be prevented,’’ Ion Chicu said.
Interior Minister Pavel Voicu touched upon the actions undertaken by the police, in order to prompt the enforcement of the CNESP decisions and about the involvement of the police to prompt the observance of the physicians’ recommendations in the public transport means. The requirement was emphasized not to allow pressures on economic operators.
The representative of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) informed the district heads about the ways and equipments of communication in emergency situations.
Education, Culture and Research Minister Igor Sarov spoke about the actions taken by the competent ministry, in order to enforce the practices of online education, when and how these practices will be implemented.
The PM asked IGSU to hold a session of trainings, in order to improve the level of preparation of the district authorities to react to emergency situations. ‘’We must be able to act in emergency situations and this does not mean that we have ceased all economic and social activities. We will be in permanent touch. Please, do not take decisions which exceed the limits of the decisions of the Commission for Emergency Situations,’’ the prime minister said.
The district heads tackled subjects on the work of churches, increase in the prices for food products, passenger transport, starting of the agricultural works, etc.
