Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law amending Article 4 of Law No1585/1998 on mandatory health insurance will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 20 March.

By law, both parents, including adoptive parents, who raise at least four children, will benefit from the status of insured person in the Compulsory Health Insurance system / AOAM /.

Thus, the law sees that the status of insured person in the AOAM system will be offered to parent, including the adoptive parent, who effectively is upbringing and educating four and more children for the period when at least one child is up to 18 years. The evidence documents confirming that the parent is effectively raising the children will be issued by the territorial social assistance structures.

Persons to whom, until the entry into force of this law, have been granted the status of insured person by the government as a mother with four and more children shall keep the status. The government within 3 months from the publication of this law will bring its normative acts in line with it.
