Moldovan producers say have enough stocks of meat products, not to increase prices

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The enterprises members of the Employers of the meat processing industry have given assurances that they had enough stocks of meat products, in order to meet the demand of consumers for the next period and the price would not be increased. The statement was made on 18 March, in the context of the declaring of the state of emergency in Moldova and the need to prevent the spread of the infections triggered by the new coronavirus (COVID-19), on the entire territory of Moldova.
At the same time, the Employers informed that ‘’the enterprises are working in enhanced security regime and major safety, deliver goods daily, established enhanced sanitary measures, have specialized transport and provide protection measures for the staff employed and involved in the delivery process.’’
Also, the Employers from the meat processing industry show that the employees were trained as to the rules of behavior at the place of work and the need to observe the public health protection measures, are monitored every day, in order to keep the record of their health condition.
According to a report unveiled by companies of processing of meat products and tinned goods, they weekly have in their stocks 1,243 tons of raw material – beef and pork, as well as 285 tons of meat finished products, available for sale. More than 100 tons of meat products are daily produced in Moldova.
