Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) informs the Moldovan citizens about the actions due to be undertaken, if they exceed the term of stay, regulated by internal normative acts or the bilateral agreements in force, as a result of the enforcement of the restrictive measures on the non-leaving of the hit regions, placement in medical institutions or quarantine, as well as the limitings by third countries at the crossing of their territory, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the MAEIE public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
Thus, in order to avoid subsequent difficulties, including the enforcement of administrative sanctions, as a result of the eventual exceeding of the term of stay, MAEIE recommends that Moldovan citizens contact the migration services or public authorities from the concerned regions, in order to familiarize with the procedures of extending the right of stay or application of the domestic exceptions, in connection with the limitings imposed at crossing the border.
If it is impossible to get the concerned information from local authorities, Moldovan citizens will ask for the support of the diplomatic missions or consular offices of Moldova.
