Moldovan president attends zone meeting with heads of Emergencies Commissions from several districts

Chisinau, 20 Mach /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon attended on Thursday a zone meeting with heads of the Commissions for Emergencies from Balti, Râșcani, Glodeni, Falesti, Sânerei, Floresti, Ungheni, Drochia, Edineț and Briceni. The meeting was focused on the epidemiological situation in the country and coordinated actions due to be taken to combat and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the presidential press service has reported.
Attending the event were Interior Minister Pavel Voicu, Secretary of the Supreme Security Council Victor Gaiciuc and head of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies Mihail Harabagiu.
Pavel Voicu informed that at present the police jointly with specialists from the National Inspectorate for Emergencies is conducting training for heads of districts, heads of police inspectorates, doctors of the Public Health Agency on the activity of the Emergencies Commissions in the crisis situation, their powers and duties, measures due to be taken as soon as possible to locate people who have possibly come into contact with the virus carriers and what we are going to do to stop the spread of coronavirus throughout the country.
The head of state noted how important it is to realize that to overcome the coronavirus problem, all Emergencies Commissions must operate synchronously and not accept deviations from the decisions of the National Commission for Emergencies.
Igor Dodon said we all need to show responsibility and utmost caution to successfully overcome this pandemic.
