Petrol, diesel prices drop in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/- Several fuel importing companies have dropped prices on petrol and diesel on Friday.

In the fuel stations the petrol A 95 reached a price between 16.72- 17.15 lei per liter, and diesel - 14.72-15.32 lei. The liquefied gas costs 9.97 lei, compared with 10.15 lei as before.

The oil companies say that the cheapness of oil products was due to dropping prices on international exchanges and import prices. On international exchanges, the price of a barrel of oil has dropped below the $ 25 ceiling - it's the lowest price recorded in the last ten years. International experts say the downward trend will continue.

Fuel prices in Moldova recorded a slight reduction, only 7 percent, as the fuel importers still have stocks purchased before the oil price collapse. The price of petrol and diesel at fuel pumps will drop significantly when importers will bring fuel supplies purchased at a lower price.
