Public transport to be partially restricted in Moldovan capital as of 23 March

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - The public transport from the Chisinau municipality will move beginning from 5:30 till 10:00 and starting from 16:00 till 20:00 as of 23 March. The movement restrictions announced by the Moldovan capital’s authorities are adopted in the context of preventing the COVID-19 infection.
Also starting from 23 March, the mini-buses on the municipal routes are to work according to the same schedule.
„We want to provide with public transport the citizens who need to go to work, as well as the employees of the medical institutions. For the rest of the city’s residents, we reiterate the urge to remain at home, in order to avoid public places,’’ the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said.
Ninety four confirmed cases of new-type coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded in Moldova today, most of which are in the Chisinau municipality.
