Most Moldovans consider that authorities took proper actions as to COVID-19

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - Almost 60 per cent of the Moldovans consider that the authorities have undertaken proper actions in the fight against the new- type COVID-19, according to data by an opinion poll conducted by CBS-AXA, within a global initiative by Gallup International Association.
The sociological survey was carried out on 11-13 March. At that time, the authorities ruled to close the education institutions.
The opinion poll shows that 56.9 per cent of the men and 60.1 per cent of the women said the measures taken by the authorities were adequate. If making an analysis according to the rural/urban criteria, then 52.4 per cent of the people living in cities and towns and 64.4 per cent of those living in villages answered positively.
As many as 502 people older than 18 years participated in the poll. The opinion poll was conducted by phone and the error margin is of 4.4 per cent. The financing was made from sources of CBS-Research.
