Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) prohibited the holders of licences regulated by the Agency from ceasing (by disconnection) the supply of services provided and from applying penalties, if the household consumers do not pay in term the invoices for electric energy, thermal energy, natural gas or drinking water consumed.
In a press release issued today, ANRE noted that exception will represent only the situations when the disconnection is aimed at avoiding the endangering of the life and health of people or harming the property.
Also, on this period, the holders of licences regulated by ANRE have right to issue monthly invoices according to estimative calculations, on condition that the calculation basis will represent the daily average consumption registered on the similar calendar period of the year before. When the emergency situation ends, the providers will make the recalculation according to the indexes of the measurement equipment actually registered.
At the same time, ANRE recommends that the consumers pay the invoices through electronic means available, so as not to allow the accumulation of debts.
The state of emergency is established in Moldova on the period 17 March -15 May 2020.
