Chisinau authorities took steps for residents of Transnistria on medicines, food

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/- The decisions taken by the authorities on COVID-19 pandemic have been extended to the left bank of the Dniester, and the Bureau for Reintegration discusses daily with heads of districts and mayors of the Security Zone. Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic made the statement today.
From 23 March an operative mechanism of cooperation between the Bureau for Reintegration and local public administration in the Security Zone has been implemented. "Every day, in the morning, the office colleagues have direct communication with the district heads and the mayors of the Security Zone to find out the problems and try to come up with solutions", Lesnic said.
She noted that it was decided that certain categories of persons will not be quarantined when they enter the Security Zone, provided that they will not come into contact with other people. It is about farmers who have land on the left bank of the Dniester, prison officials, police officers, ambulance employees and firemen, as well as workers from the electricity and gas networks.
The official said that during the state of emergency, the activity of the two offices of the Public Services Agency in Râbnița and Tiraspol will be stopped.
According to data by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, six cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered to the left bank of the Dniester so far.
