Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, today wrote on social networks that, as a result of the free of charge public transport, the city hall recorded losses worth 1.7 million lei per day. Ceban also said that he would demand that the National Commission for Emergency Situations revises the reserve fund.

On 24 March, the National Commission for Emergency Situations ruled that the public transport from the Chisinau and Balti cities is free of charge and moves without taxators during two weeks.

Ion Ceban noted that, given that the public transport would be for free, the losses of the city hall would be estimated at 1.7 million lei per day.

„The city hall is to manage the situation in real time and we will ask the National Commission for Emergency Situations to revise the reserve fund,’’ Ceban added.

One week ago, the public transport from the Chisinau municipality was endowed with dispensers with disinfectant for hands and, in order not to be loaded at the maximal capacity and passengers could keep the social distance, all vehicles were got out on routes.
