Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) and the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation have presented the specific schedule and instructions for holding the testing of candidates for the national school-leaving examinations, the 2020 session.

The documents, approved today, establish the period and procedures of organization and testing of candidates, given that the access to the education institutions is restricted, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Thus, on the period 30 March – 10 April 2020, the pupils of the 9th and 12th forms will be able to solve similar tests with models stipulated by the examination programmes, with the observance of the self-isolation regime and ensuring the access to the tests’ content in electronic format, in accordance with the specific instructions on the way of testing.

The tests and norms of correcting will be made available to pupils through means of distance sending information, on each day of holding the test, according to the schedule established. ‘’The pupils are to solve the subjects proposed independently and responsibly and then send them to teachers for verification,’’ MECC sources said.

The goal of the testing is to establish the degree of preparation of the candidates for the national exams. As a result, the teacher will identify the pupils’ needs, in order to adjust the process of preparing for successfully passing the exams.

„It is worth mentioning that each pupil must be interested in conscientiously solving the tests, in order to identify the fields in need of increased attention in the process of preparation for the examination,’’ the Education Ministry added.

The pupils are not given marks following the testing.
