Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova awarded Order of Honour

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Sergey Chichuk, given the end of his diplomatic mission in the country, the presidential press service has reported.
The officials discussed more issues on the bilateral relations between Moldova and Belarus. Dodon and Chichuk highlighted the importance of strengthening the long-lasting friendship between the two peoples and voiced hope that, by joint efforts, the sides would overcome the crisis triggered by the global pandemic. At the same time, the officials exchanged opinions on mechanisms of combating the spread of the COVID-19 virus, enforced in Moldova and Belarus.
Igor Dodon signed a decree on the awarding of the high distinction, Order of Honour, to Sergey Chichuk, as a token of deep gratitude for substantial contribution to the development and consolidation of the Moldovan-Belarusian friendship and cooperation relations.
The head of state wished the diplomat success in his further work and voiced confidence that his successor in this office would contribute to the continuous development of the mutually advantageous partnership between Moldova and Belarus.
