Chisinau general mayor meets representatives of World Health Organization

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, today informed that he had discussed with representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) subjects on the COVID-19 pandemic. Ceban noted that more scenarios of the virus’ spread had been considered.
The mayor said that he had informed the WHO representatives about the measures the Moldovan capital was ready to undertake. ‘’We will carry out all possible scenarios and which would allow us saving as many people as possible, among which also measures of isolating the infected persons. We might use the sanatoriums from Vadul lui Voda to this end. We are to verify whether these objects meet the sanitary norms. We are set to purchase tests for detecting coronavirus and we work for the endowment of all medical institutions with the necessary things,’’ Ceban said.
Ion Ceban specified that the discussions with the WHO representatives would continue. ‘’The WHO representatives’ message is that the citizens should observe the recommendations and remain isolated. We have an extraordinary situation and any assistance is extremely important to ensure people’s lives and overcome the crisis situation,’’ the mayor added.
