China donates Moldova 1,500 tests to detect COVID-19

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China has provided Moldova with a consignment of 1,500 tests for the detection of COVID-19. Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu received the donation.

„I express gratitude for the gesture of the Chinese people, which provides us support through donation of tests for detecting the COVID-19 infection, in these difficult moments for Moldova. Thank you for solidarity and involvement,’’ Dumbraveanu said.

The diagnosis tests for the new COVID-19 coronavirus were delivered to the National Public health Agency.

At the same time, the ministry informed that, on the next period, Moldova would receive a new batch of assistance on behalf of China, which consists of about 3 tons of medicines, medical materials and equipment, in order to cease the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
