Decree on involvement of National Army during state of emergency to be published in official journal

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/- The decree on involvement of the National Army during the state of emergency will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 27 March.

According to the document, the National Army will provide the necessary support to the state authorities in actions aimed at preventing, reducing and eliminating the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in accordance with the provisions of the Commission for Emergencies.

The period of the military service in short term in the Armed Forces is extended until the state of emergency is lifted. Also, the incorporation into military service in the Armed Forces is suspended, until the state of emergency is lifted.

The decree entered into force upon signature.
