Moldovan foreign affairs minister, Ukrainian ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The up-to-date subjects on the agenda of the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations, including the cooperation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic today were discussed at a meeting between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea and Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova Marko Shevchenko, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
The officials highlighted the excellent relations between the two states, as well as the prospects for strengthening the Moldovan-Ukrainian political dialogue and sectoral cooperation. A special subject was the interaction between the foreign affairs ministries from Chisinau and Kyiv.
In the context of the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, the sides discussed actions of mutual support, including for the quick settlement of the problems faced by the Moldovan and Ukrainian citizens when returning home, as a result of the restrictions applied when crossing the state border. The official reiterated both sides’ willingness to continue an efficient cooperation to this end.
