Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The public sector employees will have days off on the period 28 March - 5 April, which will be remunerated, according to a decision by Moldova’s Commission for Emergency Situations, which held a meeting today.
„All budgetary structures will be in forced vacation, excepting those from the medical sector, public health, defence, maintenance of public order and security,’’ Prime Minister Ion Chicu said at the end of the Commission’s meeting.
According to the PM, these days will be recovered under the legislation, once the state of emergency ends.
At the same time, the official noted that these days-off did not represent a vacation itself, but a measure necessary to prevent the spread of the new-type coronavirus COVID-19. ‘’Therefore, I ask for seriousness and responsibility and on this period, you should stay at home, so that we get out of the pandemic crisis as quickly as possible,’’ the PM stressed.
Also, Ion Chicu called on the private environment, asking it to comply with this complicated situation and let work only the strictly needed employees at the enterprises or offices, in order to carry out the working activity.
Another 28 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Moldova today and thus, there are 177 cases of new-type coronavirus confirmed in all.
