Moldovan PM summons commission for emergencies

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu convened the Commission for Emergencies in a meeting on Thursday. Information on the evolution of the epidemiological situation, the measures taken and those recommended to manage the epidemiological crisis and to mitigate its effects was heard, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu announced about the confirmation of 28 more cases of infection from 134 samples investigated. 25 cases are of local transmission and 3 imported - 2 from France and 1 from Romania.

Minister of Internal Affairs Pavel Voicu reported the actions taken by the ministry structures and planned measures. In the last 24 hours, 1,743 citizens of the Republic of Moldova and 787 foreign citizens entered the Republic of Moldova. 884 people entered the country through the border points with Romania, 549 through the border points with Ukraine and 310 through Chisinau International Airport. The General Police Inspectorate forces are involved in monitoring compliance with the self-isolation regime. Until 3:00 pm, 6,019 persons were checked. 9 people violated the self-isolation regime. Two economic agents were identified and documented, which worked contrary to the restrictions imposed by the CSE.

On 26 March an airline from Moscow to Chisinau and another from Istanbul were organized. 155 citizens of the Republic of Moldova came from Istanbul, and 180 - from Moscow.

The quantitative evolution of the cases confirmed by the infection shows the need to take more restrictive measures, which can cause people to reduce the mobility and the probability of transmitting the infection, or of being infected. The CSE members discussed a set of measures to support the achievement of the goals.

In this respect, the Commission adopted Instruction No6.
