Prices of socially important pharmaceuticals to be monitored by State Tax Service

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRESS/- The State Tax Service (SFS) has taken actions to verify the taxpayers in the retail sector of pharmaceuticals. The checks are made as a result of several notifications from people on price increase in important social products (medical masks, gloves, disinfectants).

Every day, the tax authority monitors the activity of 812 pharmacies on the prices of delivery of important social products, in order to comply with the provisions of the legislation in force. "54 tax controls were carried out, after which six cases of tax infringement were set", sources from SFS said.

Starting 27 March, the State Tax Service jointly with the Financial Inspection will carry out daily checks at pharmacies, retail and wholesale units, in order to verify compliance with the way of formation of market prices of socially important products.

At the same time, consumers are urged that if they find an increase of prices for socially important goods, they should communicate to the Line of the Call Center of the State Tax Service 0 8000 1525.

According to the Regulation for the formation of the prices for the marketing of socially important products, this category includes goods such as: certain types of bread, dairy, cereal, flour, oil, baby preparations and preparations for infants etc.
